SPECIAL EVENT! Holy Mass at St Edward’s, Guildford, 28 November 2015, 3pm

On Saturday 28 November 2015 at 3pm there will be a Votive Mass of Our Lady in the ORDINARIATE USE at the Catholic Church of St Edward the Confessor, Guildford. The Mass will be offered by Fr John Maunder of St Agatha’s, Portsmouth. The church is located in Sutton Park, Guildford, GU4 7QN. The Mass is being held with the kind permission of the parish priest.

This is the first event ever held by the Guildford Ordinariate, a small group very much in the early stages of development, and an ideal opportunity for any and all to come and see what the Ordinariate is all about and to experience its beautiful liturgy.

The Ordinariate Use is Catholic liturgy with ancient roots and great historical significance. It includes the FULL ROMAN CANON and Offertory Prayers of the Traditional Latin Mass united with some of the most beloved texts from the Book of Common Prayer – all in beautiful and reverent Elizabethan English. It was approved by the Holy See in 2013.

The Mass will be followed by a short talk by Fr Maunder and refreshments.

Greetings from a fellow Ordinariate member who will be unable to attend this mass as he will, at the hour it is being celebrated, be staying at St Augustine’s monastery in Chilworth.

Great to hear from you – sorry that you won’t be able to make it. We hope to see you at another Mass in future!
